Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food Service Professional to join our team at Scanway Catering Ltd. as a Dining Room Server. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service: Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Table Management: Manage tables, including clearing and cleaning, and ensuring that all tables are set and ready for service.
  • Point of Sale: Process customer transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Formal dining room, catering firm, hotel, motel, or resort.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, reliability, team player, and ability to work in a permanent position with 38 hours per week.
Language

The primary language of work is English.
