Casual Custodian Position

School District No. 67 (Okanagan Skaha) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Casual Custodian. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform custodial services to schools and facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for students and staff.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using modern custodial methods and procedures.
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with students, employees, and the public.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 completion
  • Custodial Worker Program certificate or equivalent
  • Three months of recent experience in custodial work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in custodial work
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and read, write, and follow instructions
