Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric cases
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality of service
  • Liaise with senior technologists and radiologists to ensure high-quality procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and technologies
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited training program in ultrasonography
  • Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Professional designation of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) registration
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Evidence of participation in ongoing education and professional development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • IPS certificate
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada
