Unit Overview:
The Diagnostic Imaging Department caters to a significant volume of varied adult and pediatric patients, delivering services across Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET Scan, and Ultrasound.
Role Overview:
As an integral member of the healthcare team, the Certified Radiologic Technologist is responsible for coordinating, executing, and assessing diagnostic imaging procedures within their specialty. This role involves providing patient care to address client needs and overseeing clinical and technical associates. Adhering to the "Standards of Practice" as set forth by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists, the technologist will perform a range of technical tasks that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative in applying and prescribing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Work Schedule:
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
1. Registered Technologist
- Active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO)
- Registered with CAMRT
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of hospital experience
- Preferred: Previous experience in CT
- Preferred: CT Imaging Certificate
