Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting various ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric scans, and triage tests as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ultrasound examinations, including pediatric and high-risk obstetric scans, and triage tests as needed
  • Organize and coordinate ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images and efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with senior technologists and radiologists to ensure procedures meet high technical standards
  • Adhere to Sonography and CMRITO practice guidelines
  • Participate in continuous medical education and professional development opportunities
  • Rotate through other modalities and locations based on qualifications and unit needs

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized ultrasonography training program
  • Active member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Hold a Professional Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS) designation
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Evidence of continuous education and professional development participation
  • Preferably a member of CAMRT/OAMRS with IPS certificate
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada is an advantage

Working Conditions

Rotating shifts covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays with standby duty as needed.
