Position Overview

The Senior Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT) department, reporting directly to an IM/IT Manager. This position is integral to the assessment, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of technological solutions and services across the organization and its external partners.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Analyst will:

  • Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to enhance system efficiency and support strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate requests for modifications and identify opportunities for data optimization.
  • Troubleshoot application errors and assist in resolving system-related issues.
  • Develop communication materials to inform end users about system changes.
  • Maintain system configuration items in accordance with best practices and stakeholder approvals.
  • Ensure all activities align with the organization's business plan and established policies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field, with consideration for equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a technology or systems analysis role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in application programming or systems support.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and terminology is advantageous.
  • Certifications in ITIL, Project Management, or organizational change management are preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical communication technologies and paging systems is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 75 hours bi-weekly. The role includes after-hours on-call support on a rotating basis and may involve travel to various sites.
