Job Summary

The Loss Prevention Associate will play a critical role in protecting Uniqlo Canada's assets and ensuring the safety of customers and employees. This position requires a strong understanding of loss prevention principles and the ability to implement effective strategies to reduce shrinkage and prevent theft.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Loss Prevention Initiatives
  • Implement and execute loss prevention initiatives and policies within assigned locations in partnership with Store Management and the Area Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Assist Store Manager and Area Loss Prevention Manager with training of store personnel on loss prevention policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Shoplifting Detection and Prevention
  • Detect and identify shoplifters and safely apprehend subjects or recover merchandise in accordance with Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company and department policy.
  • Assist the Area Loss Prevention Manager with detection and investigation of internal theft and policy violation incidents on an ongoing basis.
Loss Reduction and Analysis
  • Implement loss reduction initiatives in partnership with store teams and Loss Prevention senior management.
  • Utilize Loss Prevention technology equipment, including CCTV, Access Control, EAS, and exception-based reporting systems, to identify and act on loss and safety issues within assigned locations.
Inventory Management and Training
  • Utilize the store RFID Inventory system and provide training to store team members on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  1. Education and Experience
  • Related experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection in a multi-unit capacity.
  • Full understanding of Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations regarding apprehensions, safety, and all aspects of Loss Prevention.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proven ability to interface with law enforcement and legal professionals on both criminal and civil matters.
  • Experience with Loss Prevention technology and methods, including CCTV, covert surveillance, EAS, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and inventory accuracy principles, including familiarity with RFID technology.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with using MS Office and G-suite.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand/walk for entire shift and be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
