Job Summary

Holt Renfrew & Co. is seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Loss Prevention department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Loss Prevention personnel in assigned stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise a team of Loss Prevention Investigators, ensuring adequate coverage and effective execution of department standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Serve as a business partner in generating, analyzing, and communicating reports related to stock shortage performance, internal and external investigations, and fraud prevention objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Review inventory accuracy and shortage controls across the store environment to determine risk exposures and trends, providing recommendations to achieve store goals.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure the store maintains compliance with all Health and Safety-related in-house functions, including incident reports, training, and safety measures.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with store teams and departments to communicate Loss Prevention directives and Merchandise Protection Standards, maintaining a strong relationship with the visual team and Manager.
  • Investigations and Security: Conduct internal and external Loss Prevention investigations in collaboration with law enforcement and other related agencies to mitigate loss due to theft and fraud.
  • Employee Development: Lead, motivate, and retain teams of high-performing employees, providing ongoing coaching, recognition, and development to all direct reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree or diploma in Law Enforcement or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of progressive Loss Prevention experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Skills: Positive, high-energy team player with proven leadership capabilities, excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, formal training in WZ interview techniques or other related interviewing and interrogation techniques.
  • Certifications: Current Provincial Security Guard License, Standard First Aid, CPR OPA Level II.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and aptitude for system-based tools.
