Key Responsibilities- Conduct Commercial Credit Reviews in line with relevant policies and procedures to assess the soundness of underwriting procedures and processes.
- Assist in providing ongoing feedback and recommendations to management on credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in the oversight of the management of the credit functions across the business lines to ensure adherence to credit policies.
- Provide ad-hoc reports to Senior Management on credit risk across the Company.
- Support the development and ongoing enhancements of relevant credit risk Policies and Procedures.
- Assist and provide insights into risk management aspects of the development of new credit products.
- Provide ongoing feedback pertaining to the Commercial Credit Reviews and QA Operational reviews.
- 1-3 years of Credit Risk Management experience.
- 5-8 years of lending experience with expertise in a combination of commercial banking, retail lending, real estate lending, asset-based lending or leasing, and portfolio management experience.
- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree), preferably in business or finance.
- Demonstrated performer who is a team player, detail oriented and excels at the execution of complex tasks.
- Strong knowledge of compliance laws and regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and to perform well in a high volume, high intensity environment.
- Proven ability to work toward team goals and objectives.
- Ability to communicate to Senior Management, written and verbally, in a clear, concise and professional manner.
- Deep understanding of real estate/commercial/asset-based underwriting and valuation techniques, financial statement analysis, secured lending and factors affecting the mortgage market.
