About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Coagulation Laboratory team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of laboratory medicine and contributing to research, education, and exemplary service in Canada's largest hospital diagnostic lab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the workload of technical staff to ensure efficient lab operations.
  • Perform complex lab procedures, maintain quality control, and operate and maintain lab equipment.
  • Manage inventory, address discrepancies, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement procedures and standards, assess staff performance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologist program.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Lab Technologists (CMLTO) required.
  • Minimum five years of lab experience in Special Coagulation Lab.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of Coagulation and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with a commitment to continuing education.
