We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Technologist to join our team at AVL Manufacturing Inc. in a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Assist in preparing detailed design, drawings, and specifications for mechanical systems and components.
- Tooling and Manufacturing: Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support manufacturing processes.
- Testing and Analysis: Conduct mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to ensure quality and performance.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Utilize CAD software to create and edit designs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and prepare detailed plans and schedules.
- Contracting and Tendering: Prepare and submit contracts and tenders for projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design and development is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks software, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and a valid driver's license.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and client satisfaction.
