Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at RAYN CULTIVATION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up medical laboratory equipment, conducting routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Setup and Maintenance
    • Set up and calibrate medical laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results
    • Maintain equipment in good working condition to prevent downtime and ensure efficient laboratory operations
  • Sample Analysis and Testing
    • Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses to diagnose and monitor medical conditions
    • Analyze test results to identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for further testing or treatment
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct quality control assessments of testing techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of laboratory testing
  • Specimen Collection and Record-Keeping
    • Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings in a timely and accurate manner
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory tests and results
  • Cost Control and Reporting
    • Develop and maintain cost-effective procedures for laboratory testing and operations
    • Prepare and submit reports on laboratory test results and costs
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience in medical laboratory technology
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a clean and organized laboratory environment
    • May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
