Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain medical laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Clean and maintain the medical laboratory and laboratory equipment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Perform quality control assessments of testing techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collect tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Discard specimens according to established safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain cost-effective procedures for reporting and internal control, optimizing laboratory efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Industrial processes and products experience: Quality assurance and control.
  • Area of specialization: Biochemistry and Biology.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Hand-eye coordination, repetitive tasks, fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal suitability: Flexibility, organized, reliable, and team player.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, with a permanent position and 40 hours per week.
