Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at RAYN CULTIVATION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up medical laboratory equipment, conducting routine laboratory tests and sample analyses, and maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Setup and Maintenance
    • Set up and calibrate medical laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
    • Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Sample Analysis and Testing
    • Conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses to identify and diagnose medical conditions.
    • Collect and process tissue specimens for chemical analysis and record findings.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct quality control assessments of testing techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Develop and maintain cost-effective quality control procedures to minimize errors and improve efficiency.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Accurately record and document test results, specimen collection, and laboratory procedures.
    • Prepare and submit reports to medical staff and management as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience in medical laboratory technology.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with medical staff and other laboratory personnel.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve laboratory goals.
Working Conditions

The Medical Laboratory Technician will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with regular exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
