About the Role

Pacific Preferred Developments Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in our residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
  • Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, and prepare layouts accordingly.
  • Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficient in the use of hand tools and other equipment.
  • Transportation and Travel: Own transportation is required for site visits and travel between locations.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular overtime required.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong client focus, reliability, team player, and punctuality are essential for success in this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
