About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Absence and Disability Management Consultant to join our team at HUB International Ontario Limited. As a key member of our Employee Benefits Consulting Practice, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of absence and disability management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective absence and disability management strategies for clients
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of disability contracts and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to develop and execute complex consulting strategies
  • Provide expert guidance on disability management best practices and industry trends
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in absence and disability management
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in case management within insurance or a third-party provider
  • Proven experience in case management, particularly with STD, LTD, and salary continuance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong analytical, creative, strategic, and integrative skills
  • Advanced data analysis and interpretation capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to deliver high-quality client work efficiently and accurately
  • Proficient in presentation delivery
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Growth-oriented mindset, open to feedback and ongoing development
  • Adaptability and quick learning in a changing organization
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in absence and disability management
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive and positive approach
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities and self-motivation
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in disability management, such as Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Experience in benefits management
  • Mental health, psychological safety, or insurance education/training certificates
  • Knowledge of human resources, CNESST, other Workers' Compensation Boards, and occupational claims management
  • Ability to create a fun and supportive work environment
