Culinary Service Specialist

The Culinary Service Specialist plays a vital role in various food preparation areas within the establishment. This individual will support the setup and serving of meals from designated stations and buffet lines. Responsibilities encompass maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and workspaces. While the following duties are essential, additional responsibilities may be assigned based on operational needs and client specifications.
QualificationsA High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Required certifications include a Food Handlers Certificate, Vulnerable Sector Check, Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, and a Tuberculosis Test.
Exhibits a professional demeanor and recognizes the importance of integrity and ethical behavior.
• Maintains a positive outlook.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and other departments with respect and professionalism.
• Upholds a professional rapport with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, and clients.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Capable of providing clear instructions and responding to team inquiries.
• Possesses fundamental food handling skills.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and develop.
• Displays maturity in judgment and conduct.
• Adheres to high standards for work areas and personal appearance.
• Flexible scheduling is advantageous.
• Compliance with dress code requirements is necessary.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts are expected.
Visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• Capable of significant mobility and standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of 40 pounds.
Working Conditions
Primarily in an indoor environment; however, may oversee outdoor activities and events.
Schedules may vary, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as required.
While performing job duties, the employee typically works in a controlled, temperate setting but may encounter varying temperatures during outdoor events.
The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate to loud.
