The Culinary Service Specialist is responsible for various tasks within the food preparation and serving areas. QualificationsA High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Required certifications include a Food Handlers Certificate, Vulnerable Sector Check, Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination, and a Tuberculosis Test.
The ideal candidate will present themselves in a professional manner, recognizing the importance of integrity and ethical behavior.
• Must maintain a positive demeanor.
• Effective communication skills with colleagues and other departments are essential.
• Ability to foster professional relationships with coworkers, vendors, supervisors, and clients.
• Proficiency in basic computer usage.
• Capable of providing clear instructions and responding to team inquiries.
• Basic food handling skills are necessary.
Willingness to learn and develop is crucial.
• Demonstrates maturity in judgment and conduct.
• Upholds high standards for personal appearance and work areas.
• Flexibility in scheduling is beneficial.
• Compliance with dress code policies is required.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
• Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts are expected.
Physical requirements include:
• Close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• Significant mobility and the ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Capability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting/moving of 40 pounds.
This position is primarily indoors, although it may involve supervising outdoor activities.
• The schedule may vary, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as required.
• While the work environment is generally controlled and temperate, exposure to heat or cold may occur during outdoor events.
• The noise level in the workplace typically ranges from moderate to loud.
