We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and cable signals. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to identify faults and issues
  • Repair and maintain telecommunications equipment, including cable modems and software
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure accurate documentation
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets as required
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift and move equipment
  • Client focus, flexibility, and team player skills
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work

The successful candidate will work 30 to 35 hours per week.
