We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Strategist Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a key member of our Learning Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective learning strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Provide individualized support to students, including online and face-to-face consultations.
- Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver curriculum for tutor training.
- Participate in the academic referral process and provide leadership for the recruitment, training, and coaching of tutors.
- Develop and maintain learning resources on a range of topics using various media.
- Assist with the maintenance of web pages and library guides using the Springshare system.
- Stay current with academic program requirements and teaching and learning developments at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise programs to meet the learning skills needs of students.
- Bachelor of Education (English Major) or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Two years' recent and relevant experience in remedial teaching in English.
- Demonstrated ability to support students in an online environment.
- Training and/or experience in the use of common software packages, such as MS Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively provide adult education and work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal social, economic, and cultural challenges in Saskatchewan.
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in curriculum design and development.
- Knowledge of student development theory and learning strategies.
