Job Title: Treatment Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Treatment Nurse to join our team at Ontario Healthcare Center.

Job Summary:

The Treatment Nurse will provide primary skin care to residents in accordance with their care plan, adhering to federal, state, and local standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in skilled nursing and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the Care Planning Team to ensure accurate assessment evaluations
  • Provide nursing care in a private and respectful manner, following facility policies
  • Check vital signs and document resident progress notes
  • Dress wounds and make rounds with physicians as requested
  • Listen to residents and their families, addressing their questions and concerns
  • Abide by facility policies and procedures, including infection control protocols
  • Report any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
  • Attend annual facility in-service training programs and meetings as required

Requirements:

  • RN Nursing Degree or LVN from an accredited school or college
  • Valid RN or LVN license in good standing
  • Valid CPR and BLS card
  • Minimum of 6 months skilled nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language

Working Conditions:

  • May encounter frequent interruptions
  • May be involved with residents, family, and government agencies
  • May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times
  • Is subject to call back during emergency conditions

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day
  • Working throughout the nursing areas
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, with assistance for heavier weights
