Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Printer Slotter Operator to join our production team at Atlantic Packaging. As an Evol Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining all Evol equipment and machinery to produce high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a team environment and contribute to a collaborative and safe working environment.
  • Rotate through all positions on the machine to ensure efficient production and quality control.
  • Verify stock dimensions with production copy to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Meet or exceed all ISO/Quality/HACCP requirements and maintain specifications through observation and adjustment of controls.
  • Perform set-up procedures and troubleshoot problems to ensure optimal machine operation.
  • Inspect parts and adjust controls as required to maintain quality and production standards.
  • Report all problems to the supervisor and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Abide by all plant rules, safety rules, and regulations of the Company.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow equipment-specific physical lock-out tag-out procedure.
  • Report all hazards/problems to the supervisor when they occur.
  • Use pre-use inspection forms, Manager Plus, and hazard reporting forms as required.
  • Report injuries/incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety acts and good housekeeping practices.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure daily operator checklists are completed.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Machine operation skills.
  • Organization skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
  • Team player.
  • Self-starter.
