Position Available:
We are seeking a Speech and Language Support Specialist (Temporary Full-Time, 8 Month Contract).

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct communication and hearing assessments, and implement intervention programs tailored to individual and group needs.
- Provide treatment in areas such as augmentative and alternative communication, language development, articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, hearing, oral rehabilitation, literacy, and pragmatics.
- Prepare therapy materials and assist in planning therapy sessions for clients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to deliver comprehensive care.
- Work with children and youth with diverse needs in various settings, including home and school environments.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Communicative Disorders Assistant program.
- Strong understanding of Communication Disorders, with a focus on autism and rehabilitation services.
- Ability to effectively engage with children, youth, and families in person and through virtual platforms.
- Proficiency in managing a dynamic caseload.
- Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications are required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union and adheres to the collective agreement terms.
