About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Niagara Children's Centre. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in assessing, identifying, and treating communication difficulties in children, working closely with parents and other caregivers to enhance quality of life and participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and identify communication difficulties in children, including language, speech, fluency, voice/resonance, hearing, and pragmatics
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address communication difficulties, working with children, youth, families, and other care providers
  • Provide education and support to children, youth, families, and other care providers on communication strategies and techniques
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care and support to children and families
  • Participate in professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and research in speech-language pathology
Requirements
  • Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Sound understanding of speech language therapy amongst children and youth
  • Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families, and other care providers
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
