Northwood, a leading continuing care organization, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Bedford team as a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA). As a CCA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, adhering to individual care plans
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including tidying rooms and cleaning closets
  • Assist residents with meals and refreshments, promoting a sense of community
  • Provide respite care to families and caregivers, offering a much-needed break
  • Engage residents in leisure activities, fostering social connections and a sense of belonging
  • Facilitate resident participation in recreation programs, promoting physical and mental well-being

Requirements:

  • A graduate of an approved CCA/PCW program with NS provincial certification or equivalent
  • Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
