Homecare Continuing Care Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our Homecare team at Northwood. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Prepare meals and snacks for clients
  • Provide respite care for families and caregivers
  • Document client progress and concerns
  • Complete other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Continuing Care Assistant Provincial Certificate or equivalent
  • Completion of Standard First Aid and CPR C
  • Alzheimer/Dementia care course
  • Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Previous related experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance
