Embedded Test Automation Developer

At Franklin Automation Inc, we are seeking a skilled Embedded Test Automation Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Architecture and Software Platform group, you will be responsible for developing test tools and test infrastructure to enable our Quality Assurance (QA) team to complete functional and integration tests for production software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing product requirements and evaluating potential technical solutions
  • Cross-functional collaboration with teams to design and implement efficient and cost-effective software solutions that span multiple domains
  • Design, development, and testing of software components
  • Documenting and validating software and test tool designs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • ~3 years of software development in Python
  • ~1 year of software development in C++
  • ~ Familiarity with unit test frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • ~5+ years of software development in C++/Python
  • ~ Experience with source code control systems such as Git
  • ~ Embedded test & automation experience, (Linux OS, flashing devices, file transfers, logging, capturing telemetry, automation triage, etc.)
  • ~ Automotive test experience, with CAN/LIN
