Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis

This is a full-time salaried role: Monday – Friday, 1st shift.

Catalent's facilities provide comprehensive softgel development and manufacturing services for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health sectors. We offer a wide array of integrated formulation, production, analytical, and packaging services to deliver complete turnkey solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis is tasked with delivering financial insights and strategic planning to the business unit. This role is crucial in providing financial transparency and direction to the business unit, enabling proactive identification of risks and opportunities to achieve financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and orchestrates the financial planning and budgeting process, encompassing Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and CAPEX Planning.
  • Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting at the business unit level, including support for corporate reporting.
  • Engages in the strategic planning process by developing financial models and metrics to evaluate annual strategic initiatives.
  • Incorporates analytical methodologies into the business for informed decision-making and educates key stakeholders on enhancing financial performance.
  • Assists in preparing presentations for operational and business reviews, as well as forecast and planning meetings.
  • Monitors and manages the CAPEX budget, collaborating with project leads to ensure timely execution and reporting any budget deviations.
  • Responsible for reconciling the Construction in Process (CIP) account, ensuring it is updated in accordance with the execution timelines of CAPEX projects.
  • Travel expectations are approximately 10%.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Accounting or Finance) is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role involving financial modeling and forecasting of financial variables, including analysis and evaluation of business activities.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards is advantageous; experience with any major ERP system is essential.
  • Proficient in Excel and Access database.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly, and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds.
