Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join our team at Domtar. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting managers in controlling and analyzing costs to optimize financial profitability, producing reliable and relevant financial management information, and conducting financial analyses to optimize project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support managers in controlling and analyzing costs to optimize financial profitability
  • Produce reliable and relevant financial management information for various stakeholders, including managers, corporate, government agencies, and auditors
  • Conduct financial analyses for various types of projects to optimize performance and profitability
  • Perform cost analysis to provide reliable information on costs and operational statistics
  • Participate actively in the monthly closing process, coordinating and verifying monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to meet corporate deadlines
  • Participate actively in the budgeting and forecasting process, in accordance with the plant's calendar
  • Supervise a team of employees, including coaching, organizing, and delegating tasks, planning for succession, recruitment, and performance management

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in accounting in the manufacturing sector
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration and CPA certification
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Experience working with MS Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Autonomous, results-oriented, and detail-focused
  • Excellent decision-making skills and strong collaboration skills
  • Strong leadership skills, promoting a positive team dynamic
