Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites, Terrace. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our hotel and resort.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris; empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Equipment Operation: Use industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, power lawn mowers, and other equipment to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Other Tasks: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
