At Emil Anderson Maintenance | Skeena, we are seeking highly skilled and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Winter Highway Maintenance Workers/Labourers. This is a seasonal, full-time position that requires manual labour and operating plow trucks in the Terrace, Kitimat, and Nass areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate in accordance with Emil Anderson Group's Core Values and uphold a zero-injury culture.
  • Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.
  • Completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Changing snowplow blades.
  • Patching potholes and jackhammering.
  • Performing maintenance and minor service works on vehicles.
  • Digging out plugged drains, maintaining shrubbery, and picking up litter.
  • Any other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Minimum class 3 with air brake endorsement.
  • Previous snow plowing and heavy equipment experience is an asset.
  • Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 an asset.
  • Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • O.T work required in the event of a snowstorm.
  • Clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive.
  • Willing to work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualified applicants are required to provide current ICBC "N" drivers abstract along with their resume.

Union Wages and Benefits $28.29 to $37.23
