Objective

The primary role is to enhance the effectiveness of the Sales & Partnerships division across Canada, ensuring that individual objectives and strategic initiatives align with the overarching business goals. All activities must adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and established procedures.

The National Consultant's responsibility includes facilitating reciprocal referrals between Scotia iTRADE and Scotia Wealth Management, as well as key partner channels. This will be accomplished through the implementation and management of targeted client offers and involvement in special projects. The consultant will also aim to broaden Scotia iTRADE's market reach through diverse distribution channels while supporting various business line partners and geographic areas throughout Canada. Building brand recognition and delivering outstanding sales and service support to partners and clients is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Foster a customer-centric culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader Bank resources, systems, and knowledge. Recognize how the Bank's risk appetite and culture should influence daily operations and decision-making. Strive for efficient operations in respective areas while ensuring compliance with operational risk, regulatory compliance, and conduct risk frameworks. Promote and contribute to a high-performance and inclusive workplace.

Building Strategic Partnerships

Support the sales process by nurturing relationships with frontline sales representatives and leaders from Scotiabank and Wealth Management. Focus on client acquisition through Scotia iTRADE: Engage with targeted Scotia iTRADE clients or prospects to introduce banking or investment solutions and enhance client relationships across the Bank. Manage two-way referral opportunities and triage clients, collaborating closely with iTRADE Product Strategy, Wealth Analytics, and Wealth Marketing teams. Oversee and support partnership initiatives aimed at developing new business opportunities and enhancing Total Wealth delivery. Execute direct sales initiatives targeting internal and external channels to raise awareness of Scotia iTRADE and foster profitable relationships.

Communication and Expertise in Self-Directed Investing

Enhance brand visibility through client education and support initiatives, both in-person and online. Maintain awareness of competitors' offerings and articulate how Scotia iTRADE's products and services deliver superior value. Develop and provide tailored training resources to support evolving partner and client inquiries. Strategic Influence: Utilize technology to engage with internal partners and clients to advocate for Scotia iTRADE. Assist in planning and executing key partnership initiatives to strengthen partner engagement and drive business growth. Personal Development and Team Collaboration: Take ownership of your Personal Development Plan and collaborate with management to cultivate the necessary skills and competencies. Contribute positively to team morale and employee relations through constructive interactions with the Sales & Partnerships team and management. Participate in and support change initiatives while adapting to new procedures, technologies, and processes.

Performance Metrics

New Funded Accounts Assets under Administration (AUA) Trades Revenue Engagement Client Acquisition Onboarding High Net Worth and Active Trading Relationships Success will be evaluated based on the ability to meet sales growth targets for Scotia iTRADE products across assigned regions. The role requires influencing skills in addition to direct authority. The consultant will receive coaching from the Senior Manager, Sales & Partnerships, and guidance from the Director.

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent experience. Comprehensive understanding of Scotia iTRADE products, processes, policies, and services to provide high-quality service and support. Familiarity with Wealth Management and Banking industry competitor offerings. In-depth knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of branch and wealth management partners. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales, relationship, or account management role. Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Strong negotiation and influencing abilities. Highly proactive, capable of working independently or collaboratively, demonstrating perseverance. Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course is preferred. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred. Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM.
