Meat Department Assistant Manager

At Metro Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the meat department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Collaborate with the Meat Manager to develop and implement effective merchandising and inventory strategies.
  • Train and develop department staff to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Support the Meat Manager in achieving departmental sales and profit targets.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a meat department or related field.
  • Excellent product knowledge and merchandising skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
