Philanthropy Officer, Special Events Coordinator

About the Role:
Covenant House Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Philanthropy Officer, Special Events to join our team. As a key member of our Philanthropy department, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with individuals and organizations to support our fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to recruit and engage participants for our signature Sleep Out events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, community leaders, and individual donors.
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities.
- Manage and execute event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and marketing.
- Develop and implement a stewardship plan to ensure timely and effective recognition of donors and participants.
- Provide administrative support for event planning, including database management and reporting.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and special event planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge database and Luminate software is an asset.
