Our Distribution team aims to lead in client engagement within the Canadian insurance sector. We are committed to delivering a seamless and tailored client experience. Our knowledgeable and reliable team is focused on providing financial service solutions that cater to our clients' unique requirements.

The Insurance Associate II is instrumental in supporting and enhancing the agency's operations, primarily through sales and service. This position leverages a comprehensive understanding of Co-operators' insurance offerings, including personal lines (auto, home) and specialty lines (farm and commercial). Additionally, if life licensed, this role may also involve sales and service for life and wealth products.

How you will create impact:

  • Drive sales, service, and profitable growth for both personal and specialty lines products.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on coverages and policies that align with client needs.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities by identifying and suggesting additional products/services that benefit clients.
  • Conduct front-line risk assessments and selections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Perform inspections and re-inspections as necessary.
  • Meet individual targets for client service, sales, quality, and productivity while contributing to overall agency sales and growth objectives.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Proactively conduct client reviews for auto, home, farm, and/or commercial portfolios.

To join our team:

  • A General Insurance license is required.
  • A Life license is an asset.
  • Compliance with all provincial licensing requirements, including continuing education, is necessary to obtain and maintain licenses.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, including sales experience, is preferred.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of auto and property insurance products along with strong underwriting skills.

  • A valid driver's license and insurance are necessary.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment.
