Position Overview

The Property Management is seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Worker to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and functional environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Adjustments: Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. For major repairs, coordinate with specialized tradespersons.
  • Contractor Liaison: Engage with contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform regular safety and security checks to uphold a secure environment.
  • Supervision: Oversee the work of other maintenance staff as required.
  • Heavy Lifting: Assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Routine Maintenance: Carry out general maintenance tasks, including painting and drywall repairs.
  • Independent Work: Operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years in a similar role.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
