Job Summary

G & K Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance and receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, and inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Citizens band (CB) radio and operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended periods
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have a physically demanding role with repetitive tasks, sitting, and weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs). A flexibility, organized, reliable, and team player with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel for extended periods is required.
