As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in guaranteeing that every item we offer is delivered punctually and meets our high standards of quality, leaving our customers delighted with their choices. The Returns Merchandise Handler is tasked with overseeing the operations related to tracking, shipping, receiving, distributing, and storing returned items.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processing of return orders for products from sales personnel or direct customer inquiries.
  • Monitor and track orders for customers and sales teams, maintaining accurate customer records and sales agreements.
  • Ensure the completeness of orders in accordance with established reporting protocols.
  • Conduct clerical duties such as assisting with physical inventory counts, processing returned items in internal systems, and gathering data on return sources.
  • Address any inconsistencies between return documentation and the actual products.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including warehouse teams, clients, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Assess returned items and identify those suitable for resale.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Software Systems for all inventory-related tasks.
  • Prepare returned products for shipment while in storage, ensuring proper handling.
  • Maintain cleanliness by disposing of boxes, packing materials, and pallets, along with general upkeep of the facility and specific product areas.
  • Rotate through various departments as needed to support business demands.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to technology updates and new systems relevant to the role.
  • Complete all assigned tasks from leadership to meet daily productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Competent in computer usage, including Google OS.
  • Mechanical skills for assembling furniture items.
  • Comprehensive understanding of training and communication resources pertinent to the role.
  • Awareness of loss prevention, security, and safety protocols as outlined in company policies.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail.
