Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic French Language Educator to join our team as a part-time Tutor and Coach for French Language Learners. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping students develop their French language skills and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach French language classes to students of various skill levels, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies.
  • Work directly with students as an Interactive Coach, providing personalized instruction and guidance.
  • Follow our established curriculum and lesson plans, adapting to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates to ensure seamless communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times, providing a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, such as French language or education.
  • Fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience may be considered.
  • Teaching certification is an asset, but not required.
  • Strong background in spoken and written French and English, with the ability to instruct classes in French.
  • Comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, with a preference for candidates who can teach up to Grade 12.
Working Conditions
  • Part-time position, working after-school and evening hours (3:00pm - 7:00pm) and some Saturdays (10:00am - 3:00pm).
  • Commitment until the end of the term in June is preferred, with the option to continue through the summer.
  • Must be able to commute to our location, as this is an in-person role.
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
