POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Speech-Language Pathologist plays a crucial role in delivering specialized speech-language services to clients in various settings. This position focuses on assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders to enhance the quality of life for individuals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology assessments and interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Educate clients and their families about communication disorders and strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in speech-language pathology practices and technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the appropriate licensing.
  • Extensive knowledge of speech-language pathology methodologies and community resources.
  • Experience working in healthcare or community settings is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is essential.
