Job Title: Core French and EFI Prep Teacher

We are seeking a qualified teacher to join our team as a Core French and EFI Prep Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Core French and EFI Prep to students in grades K-8 and JK/SK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Core French and EFI Prep to students in grades K-8 and JK/SK
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions
  • French as a Second Language Part 1
  • Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions
  • Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
  • Proficient fluency in French as a Second Language
  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
  • Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction
  • Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
  • Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
  • Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
  • Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
