This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deli Utility Clerk at Calgary Co-op. As a key member of our deli team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and experience a safe and efficient shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relations through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Perform all aspects of the deli utility function, including stocking displays, facing merchandise, and maintaining display presentation and stock levels.
- Handle merchandise with care, minimizing damages and markdowns, and ensure price integrity.
- Perform general clean-up duties, including cleaning spills and display fixtures, to maintain a neat and organized department.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations and policies.
- Assist with ordering merchandise and supplies, receiving products, and conducting inventory.
- Prepare deli platters and trays, operate roasters, and perform cash handling procedures as required.
- Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Previous retail or related experience.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Deli product knowledge/experience is an asset.
