About the Role:
Safeway is seeking a skilled Deli Clerk to join our team. As a Deli Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional food shopping experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing hot and cold food items, operating commercial power equipment, and providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food items, including sandwiches, salads, and soups.
- Operate commercial power equipment, such as slicers, fryers, and ovens.
- Process cash register payments and handle customer transactions.
- Offer samples to customers and promote products.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and stand for long periods.
