Position Overview
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a qualified and experienced Supervisor for our Combined Lab & X-ray Technologists (CLXT) team.
This role is pivotal in overseeing the operations at our healthcare facility, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional services to our patients. We are looking for a proactive leader who is passionate about advancing healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the activities of technical staff within the department.
- Guarantee that high-quality services are consistently provided to all patients and clients.
- Engage in the recruitment process, performance evaluations, and mentorship of team members.
- Collaborate with various departments to effectively address client requirements.
- Prepare reports, troubleshoot issues, and address inquiries from stakeholders.
- Execute technical tasks as necessary to support departmental functions.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Completion of a recognized program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology.
- Active registration with a provincial professional association.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to mentor, guide, and develop team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with safe operational procedures and equipment handling.
- Proficient in computer applications and relevant software tools.
- Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
