We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with a strong background in security development to spearhead the creation of security-focused software components for our autonomous vehicle platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new security features for our autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Integrate security components within both autonomy and infrastructure frameworks.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to conduct architectural design assessments of software, hardware, and services.
  • Oversee the successful incorporation of security capabilities with partner teams.
  • Engage with Vehicle Platform partners and OEMs to ensure effective security integration into the Aurora Driver platform.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to both security-focused and general software engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in writing high-quality production code in C++ and Golang.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with fellow engineers on design and coding tasks.
  • Excellent communication abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with automotive protocols and security standards.
  • Experience in constructing and assessing threat models.
  • Knowledge of best practices in cryptographic protocols, infrastructure, and network security.
  • Proven leadership skills to manage teams and organize projects for successful outcomes.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a security-focused or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the robotics or automotive sectors or equivalent.
  • Experience in evaluating the security of software and services.
  • Foundational understanding of embedded firmware and hardware security, particularly in robotics or automotive contexts.
  • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • A history of contributing to the security community through open-source projects, published research, or conference presentations.
