We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at North Delta Transport Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country
- Load and unload goods at designated locations
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to withstand the demands of long haul trucking
