Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Products Research Manager to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Investments Strategy Group, you will be responsible for providing research guidance to our Investment Advisors on a variety of investment funds, with a primary focus on mutual funds, including liquid alternatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fund Manager Research: Conduct thorough due diligence on mutual fund managers to identify new funds for our approved list and make recommendations to our advisors. Collaborate with our Executive Director, Investments to create our Recommended Mutual Fund Report, and prepare monthly product reporting and ad hoc report requests.
  • Product Knowledge & Business Acumen: Monitor the performance of the funds on our Recommended Mutual Fund Report and make recommendations for additions or removals. Provide key support for regulatory requirements, including Client Focused Reforms. Prepare and update competitive surveys and industry trend analysis to ensure compliance with our New Product Review Committee Manual.
  • Collaboration: Provide head office recommendations and support Mutual Funds for our sales force of over 800 advisors. Actively participate in our New Product Review Working Team and coordinate the launch of new investment products with our business partners, including review and execution of legal agreements, operations, technology, and communications.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: You have a strong background in mutual funds and the industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • Education: You hold an Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Certifications: CSC and CFA certifications are considered strong assets.
  • Skills: You possess proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to resolve complex queries in a timely and accurate fashion.
