About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time NHL DAI Operator to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our broadcast operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting live Ad insertion on NHL games for the season on Sportsnet+ streaming services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Setup and Routing: Oversee the technical setup and routing of live broadcast signals to ensure seamless delivery of NHL games.
  • Ad Triggers and Monitoring: Execute Ad triggers throughout each NHL game and monitor signals to ensure they meet Sportsnet's broadcast standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Work closely with the Media Transmission team and technical Support for troubleshooting on-air issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with Sportsnet's broadcast transmission team for game updates and DAI assignments, ensuring smooth execution of live Ad insertion.
  • Technical Reporting: Provide detailed technical reports after each game, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Adherence to Policies: Adhere to all broadcast policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Broadcast Operations Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of broadcast operations and the ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • NHL Production Formats: Knowledge of NHL production formats is an asset, but not required.
