We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time NHL DAI Operator to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our broadcast operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting live Ad insertion on NHL games for the season on Sportsnet+ streaming services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Setup and Routing: Oversee the technical setup and routing of live broadcast signals to ensure seamless execution of Ad triggers throughout each NHL game.
  • Ad Trigger Execution: Execute Ad triggers throughout each NHL game, ensuring timely and accurate insertion of commercials.
  • Signal Monitoring: Monitor signals to ensure they meet Sportsnet's broadcast standards, identifying and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Work closely with the Media Transmission team and technical Support for trouble shooting on-air issues, ensuring minimal disruption to live broadcasts.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with Sportsnet's broadcast transmission team for game updates and DAI assignments, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Technical Reporting: Provide detailed technical reports after each game, highlighting any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Adherence to Broadcast Policies: Adhere to all broadcast policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Broadcast Operations Knowledge: Good understanding of broadcast operations, including Ad insertion and signal routing.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment, with strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • NHL Production Formats: Knowledge of NHL production formats is an asset, but not required.
