This position involves executing financial solution-related activities for clients, which include risk assessment, deal structuring, pricing strategies, negotiation, and presentation of intricate deals within the real estate sector in a designated market area.
Client Relationship Management: This role champions a client-centric culture within the team, aiming to strengthen client relationships and leverage the broader resources, systems, and knowledge of the Bank.
Commercial Credit Development: The Senior Manager contributes to the national growth of the Commercial Credit business for mortgage loans by:
- Ensuring timely analysis, structuring, and presentation of credit and financial solutions within the designated market area.
- Providing insights and recommending pricing for loans and credit-related fees that align with risk and profitability considerations.
- Suggesting alternative terms, conditions, and covenants to create viable banking proposals while adhering to sound credit lending practices.
Authorization and Implementation: This role ensures precise communication of authorization terms and conditions, overseeing the effective and timely implementation by:
- Drafting or reviewing all written authorizations for accuracy and clarity.
- Ensuring prompt follow-up for acceptance of authorizations and addressing any issues or amendments swiftly.
Portfolio Quality Management: The Senior Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality of the assigned credit portfolio by:
- Collaborating with Senior Client Solutions Analysts to evaluate all received information and reporting any deficiencies to senior management.
- Monitoring and advising senior management on any emerging credit weaknesses within individual accounts through ongoing analysis of relevant financial, legal, and industry information.
Regulatory Compliance: Adherence to regulatory and internal Bank policies is crucial. The Senior Manager will:
- Provide coaching and guidance to Senior Client Solutions Analysts, enhancing their credit competencies related to assigned accounts.
- Offer timely performance feedback on credit analyses presented for review.
Risk Management: The Senior Manager will communicate the Bank's risk culture and appetite throughout the team, fostering an environment that prioritizes effective operations while ensuring compliance with operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, and conduct risk.
Team Development: This role contributes to building a high-performance environment and a people strategy that attracts, retains, and develops talent by:
- Fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Communicating the Bank's vision, values, and business strategy.
- Assisting in succession and development planning for the team.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of the Bank's lending policies and an understanding of economic, technological, and legal factors affecting credit viability in the real estate sector.
- Strong financial statement analysis and accounting principles knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on risk assessment and financial analysis.
- A solid understanding of mortgage markets and lending options.
- An undergraduate degree in business or economics, or equivalent experience.
